ISO 27001 and how is it related to information security for manufacturing

At Ark Electronics, we are deeply committed to the integrity and protection of customer data.  That’s why we have earned ISO27001 certification.

ISO 27001 is an international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).  This standard provides a framework for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving an organization’s information security.  Its goal is to protect sensitive and confidential data. It covers all types of organizations (e.g., commercial enterprises, government agencies, nonprofits), all sizes (from micro-businesses to huge multinationals), and all industries (from retail to home care, surgery to engineering).

The standard includes requirements for:

1. Systematic examination of the organization’s information security risks, taking account of the threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts;

2. Designing and implementing a comprehensive suite of information security controls to address those risks that are deemed unacceptable;

3. Adopting an overarching management process to ensure that the information security controls continue to meet the organization’s information security needs on an ongoing basis.

By complying with ISO 27001, Ark Electronics demonstrates that we have taken specific steps to put in place systemized controls to limit any damage to the organization and all of our stakeholders. It’s our way of assuring you that we prioritize the security and confidentiality of your data and that we have the necessary processes in place to deal with any threats to that security.
